About MACADAMIA SEED OIL/HYDROGENATED MACADAMIA SEED OIL ESTERS
A stable, luxurious emollient combining macadamia nut oil with its hydrogenated form, mimicking the skin's natural sebum for exceptional skin affinity.
Detailed Analysis
Macadamia integrifolia (macadamia) seed oil is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, particularly oleic acid (approximately 60%) and palmitoleic acid (approximately 20%), the latter being a fatty acid naturally present in human sebum. Hydrogenation converts unsaturated oils to more stable saturated forms, improving oxidative stability and extending shelf life. The transesterified product is not restricted under EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 and is considered one of the most skin-compatible emollients available.
